How to Get a Flat Stomach in 4 Weeks

You have probably heard a lot about how diet and exercise as well as persistence are the key to weight loss and a flat, sexy stomach. All of this is true, and it does take time to achieve all of this, but if you are looking for a way to get a flat stomach in a short amount of time then you’ll have to be prepared to work a little harder.

Just remember,  that optimum health takes a while to achieve and if you are overweight or out of shape, it may take longer than a month to see results.  The only way to get a super-flat, toned stomach that quickly if you have an excess amount of belly fat would be surgery (and that is NOT an option you should even consider).

How To Achieve Fast Weight Loss Results

Diet is an important element when it comes to having a flat stomach, but you shouldn’t think that you will have to give up all your favorite foods or take on a state of deprivation in order to achieve it. Of course, you will have to make wise choices in the foods you eat, but you can forget about starving yourself. As a matter of fact, starvation diets are never the way to go because they do more harm than good.

To get a flat stomach quickly you will HAVE to give up unhealthy sugar, fats, and processed foods. This means no more cookies, chips, fast food, etc.  Anything that contains “empty” calories has to go.  If you want to snack you need to fruits and vegetables.  In fact, for dinner and lunch at least half of your plate should be fruit and/or vegetables.

You want at most a 500 calorie deficit each day. That means you have to either eat 500 calories less each day or burn it off with exercise.  If you cut out 500 calories per day then you can lose anywhere from 2 to 5 pounds per week.

Exercise will always be a component in any plan to get a flat stomach in 4 weeks or longer for that matter.

If you are already exercising or you’re active then you can up your workouts/activity to 5 or 6 days per week.  Don’t over train as you can cause injury and burnout.  45 mintues a day is not too much if you’re trying to achieve fast weight loss results.  Vary up your workouts and include weight training.  Weight training builds muscle which increases your metabolism and burns more calories.

If you are inactive and don’t normally exercise you shouldn’t start out with heavy exercise.  Start out slow by walking a few days a week. Build up slowly over time. If you’re trying to lose weight quickly without a lot of exercise you’ll need to cut back on calorie consumption.

Set Yourself up for Success

If you really want to achieve your goal of a flat stomach in just 4 weeks time (or at least as quickly as possible), there are some things you will have to know about fat in the stomach area. It is also important that you set yourself up for success by creating a plan for reaching your goal. That plan would have to include starting with your goal in mind and making sure that you are motivated and committed to reaching it.

Keep a food and exercise journal and purposefully set aside times each day for exercise.  Don’t just try to “fit it in” to your normal daily schedule.  You’ll find that if you do that you’ll never have time to exercise.

Here is what you need to know about belly fat. Because belly fat sits so close to many of your body organs, it is one of the most dangerous forms of fat. It can constrict the function or your liver, kidneys, heart and lungs. Diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure or other cardiovascular disease and cancer are all affected by the amount of belly fat that you have. Getting and staying healthy is one of the most important reasons you should be trying to reduce the size of your belly.

Now that you know a bit about belly fat, you are ready to get started achieving your weight loss goals.

Diet is important, but you have to understand that it is not just calories that you will want to be counting. There is a difference in where you are getting the calories you are taking in. A diet that is rich in protein and low in carbohydrates, saturated fats and sugar is the best plan when you are trying to achieve a flat stomach. You have to also know that Trans fats contribute a great deal to belly fat. Not all calories are created equally, so be careful what you eat. You can’t forget the importance of exercise to help burn up extra calories either.

Make sure to go with whole foods like vegetables, fruits, lean meats, nuts, and whole grains.
