The Health Magazine Carb Lovers Diet Book

health magazine carb lovers diet bookYou can now officially say goodbye to low-carb diets. For such a long time most people have been told that they should stay away from carbohydrates. But the Health Magazine carb lovers diet brings carbohydrates back to where they belong, on your dinner table.

Carbohydrates are not bad. Actually, your body prefers them and when eaten correctly they can help you lose weight.

One of the reasons why I love the carb lovers diet is because it has an approach that focuses on a balanced, healthy, calorie controlled diet.

Putting carbohydrates back into your regular diet may exactly be what you’re looking for to boost your energy and feel satisfied while losing weight at the same time.

The only problem is we’ve been browbeaten and told so repeatedly that carbohydrates are bad.  That most people will not easily be convinced that carbohydrates are not bad for you.  In fact, most experts agree that carbs are good for you if you choose the right ones and you eat the right amounts. Some research has shown that carbs that are rich in starch resistance may actually be a weight loss magic bullet.

The carb lovers diet menu works because it features carbohydrates that are rich in resistant starch. Resistant starch is good because it is difficult for the small intestines to digest which makes you feel full and helps you burn more fat. Studies have proven that resistant starch actually helps curb your cravings, control flow blood sugar levels in your body, and increases your metabolism.

What makes the carb lovers diet so unique is that it will help you lose 8 pounds in one month by eating normal, healthy foods in addition to the carbohydrates that are rich in the resistant starch. The diet also features an exercise section that reinforces how important physical activity is alongside a healthy, carbohydrate rich diet.

Snack Recipes For The Carb Lovers Diet

Cinnamon Ricotta In A Warm Pear

Start by preheating your toaster oven or your broiler.  Take one organic (if possible) fresh pear and cut it in half then core it.  Put the cored, halved pear on a baking sheet and put it into the toaster oven or broiler.  Broil it for about 10 minutes or until it’s nice and tender.   In a small bowl combine ¼ tsp of cinnamon and ¼ cup ricotta cheese (part skim).  When the pear is finished broiling add the ricotta mixture to it and eat!

Oats And Dark Chocolate Clusters

Take 2 tbs peanut butter, 2 tbs milk (low-fat and 1%) and ¼ cup of semisweet choc chips and put them in a small to medium saucepan.  Start a low heat and cook until the chocolate chips are melted.  This should take anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes.  Stir in ¾ cup of rolled oats (preferably organic).  Once you stir in the oats remove the saucepan from the heat.  Take a dinner spoon or melon baller and scoop out 8-10 portions and place them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.  Place the baking sheet with the dark chocolate clusters into the refrigerator and let them sit for 10 minutes before you serve them.
