Being a teenager is hard enough without having to worry about being overweight. Teens are under a lot of pressure to look a certain way (thin) so when they need to lose weight they really feel like they NEED to lose weight.

Exercise Is VERY Important
The fastest way to lose weight as a teenager is to combine a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of exercise. You should try to exercise for at least 30-60 minutes per day. If you are not used to being active then you may have to start out slower (try easy exercising like walking for 20 minutes about 2-3 times per week and then work your way up).
Make sure that you do cardiovascular exercises like running, jogging, walking, swimming etc. You want to try and find something that you enjoy doing so that it doesn’t feel like a pain in the butt to do it. If you like basketball then play basketball for an hour every day. If you like tennis, karate, biking, boxing, jumping rope, volleyball, etc, then to that. Whatever it is you do make sure it gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat. If you’re not sweating, you’re not burning enough calories.
