The Health Magazine Carb Lovers Diet Book

If you love carbs and hate the idea of a low-carb diet then you’re in for a treat! There’s a new diet in town and it’s made for people just like you who don’t want to part with carbohydrates to lose weight.  For such a long time most people have been told that they should stay away from carbohydrates. But the Health Magazine Carb Lovers Diet brings carbohydrates back to where they belong, on your dinner table.

One of the reasons why I love the Carb Lovers Diet is because it has an approach that focuses on a balanced, healthy, calorie controlled diet.

Putting carbohydrates back into your regular diet may be exactly what you’re looking for and what you need to boost your energy and feel satisfied while losing weight at the same time.

The problem is, we’ve been browbeaten and told repeatedly that carbohydrates are bad.  But this isn’t the case  In fact, most experts agree that carbs are good for you if you choose the right ones and you eat the right amounts. Some research has shown that carbs that are rich in starch resistance may actually be a big factor in helping people lose weight.

The Carb Lovers Diet menu works because it features carbohydrates that are rich in resistant starch. Resistant starch is good because it is difficult for the small intestines to digest which makes you feel full and helps you burn more fat. Studies have proven that resistant starch actually helps curb your cravings, control flow blood sugar levels in your body, and increases your metabolism.

What makes the carb lovers diet so unique is that it will help you lose approximately 8 pounds in one month by eating normal, healthy foods in addition to the carbohydrates that are rich in the resistant starch. The diet also features an exercise section that reinforces how important physical activity is alongside a healthy, carbohydrate rich diet.

Carb Lovers Diet Reviews

Most reviews that I’ve read have been positive and most people that I know that are on the Carb Lovers Diet are absolutely in love with it. And why shouldn’t they be? With this diet all food groups are included. All the foods that you love, including foods like chocolate and even potato chips are allowed. Wine, is even allowed which is one of the reasons why the Carb Lovers Diet is one of my all-time favorites. I love good glass of wine with dinner and this diet allows it. The diet does not allow any type of processed foods or fast foods.

Some of the the recommended starch-resistant foods are:

  • Bananas
  • Beans
  • Brown rice
  • Oat meal
  • Pasta
  • Cereal
  • English Muffins

The carb lovers diet recommends that you need at least one of these special carbs at every meal. You can essentially mix-and-match and create your own diet as long as it adheres to the principles set forth in the plan.   About a fourth of each meal should come from carbohydrates. The rest should be made up of low-fat dairy, fruits, vegetables, lean meat, fish, or healthy fats. Once a week the diet allows for a treat of some kind such as chocolate, pie, beer, or wine. It also recommends that you take a multivitamin that contains calcium.

In order to stay within the calorie budget set forth by the plan you need to be able to control your portion size. Portion sizes are described in detail within the plan itself.

You will also find that this diet comes with an additional 75 recipes that are family-friendly and it even includes a guide for choosing foods we eat out, and overwhelming at plan, recommended frozen foods from your grocery store, and the best foods to have stopped in your kitchen pantry.

The Basic Principles

When you begin the plan you’ll start with a seven-day detox that will cut your caloric intake daily to 1200 calories in four meals. This one week detox will help you shed up to 7 pounds. After this one week detox you’ll move up to 1600 calories a day through five small meals, with each meal having a resistant starch carbohydrate.

If you’re not used to eating this few calories don’t worry, because the foods you’ll be eating are rich, resistant to starch and very high in fiber. The combination of these two factors will make you feel much more full for much longer periods of time. And when you’re fuller for longer period of time you eat less which will allow your body to burn more of the excess stored fat.

The Bottom Line

This is an excellent diet.  You don’t often see popular diets that advocate healthy carbohydrates and wholesome foods.

If you follow this plan you will lose weight because of the controlled portions and the restricted calories. But don’t worry about being hungry as this is not a starvation diet. As mentioned before the combination of resistant starch and high fiber foods will keep you feeling full and satisfied.

The carb lovers diet brings fun and excitement back to the dieting world. It’s highly recommended and if you’re trying to lose weight you should check it out today.
